Dr. Kosj & Jaymi Yamoah

Philadelphia, PA

Kosj and Jaymi have been married since 2008. The vision for their family is to live a life where Christ is the foundation of everything they do. They have two children Zion and Zoe-Elle. Kosj founded Hearts-of-Fire Inc. in 2005. His passions are Christ, ministering through music, and bringing healing to the physical body through medicine. His career as a Physician Scientist specializing in Oncology has allowed him to serve medical clinics in India and Africa. In addition Dr. Kosj is conducting cutting edge research in prostate cancer.  

Jaymi serves as the secretary of Hearts-of-Fire Inc. Her passion is to share the hope of Christ through building relationships, serving and prayer. Her work as a Special Education teacher has opened many doors of opportunity for service. Serving God with Hearts-of-Fire has been one of the greatest delights of their lives.

Greg & Namarie Castin

Brooklyn, NY

Greg and Namarie have been married since 2008. They have a 2 year old son named Alexander-Daniel. Greg and Namarie have served faithfully and given generously of themselves throughout these several years of ministry. Greg serves as Hearts-of-Fire's Director of Operations and Youth Leader within his church. He coordinates the team on missions both local and abroad. His passion is for the building up of the youth and inpsiring the next generation to follow after God. Greg is currently pursuing a degree in Social Work.  Namarie has a passion for children and for taking care of others. She is currently pursuing a degree in Medical Billing.

Dr. Damaris-Lois Yamoah Lang

Hastings-on-Hudson, NY

Dr. Damaris-Lois Yamoah Lang co-founded Hearts-of-Fire with her brother, Dr. Kosj  Yamoah in 2005. She serves by singing, teaching and holding discussions on matters of Faith and science. What continually draws Damaris to Hearts-of-Fire is the energy, thirst and total surrender to JESUS which she believes, is the mark of this ministry. She states, "I'm passionate about Hearts-of-Fire because it is my continual reminder to always keep the fire of the HOLY SPIRIT burning in my heart and never ever letting it quench."

Amir Idris

Harlem, NY

 "My passion is to Light others up, give them that spark!"

Amir was one of the very first member of Hearts-of-Fire. His passion for music, dance, and overall entertainment has created many avenues for evangelism. "I am a part of Hearts of Fire because of God. When I first came, it was just to pick up the church basketball so I could play. That day I helped created what we now call the 'basketball dance'...The rest is history."

Ana Maria Negron

Queens, NY

Ana has been an active member of Hearts-of-Fire since 2011.  She joined Hearts-of-Fire in order to  use her talents such as singing, acting and dancing in a positive way. She also believes God has called her to minister to teens and young adults. Currently Ana is pursuing Art Therapy and Latin American & Caribbean Studies at Muhlenberg College

Besthani Martinez

Brooklyn, NY

"My passion is to teach children and be a mentor one day to young women." Besthani joined Hearts-of-Fire to embed herself in a community of people that love God. She also hopes to expand her opportunities of helping others both locally and abroad.

Christyn Harris-Harrel

Harlem, NY

Chris's passions include dancing, music and creative writing. He serves with Hearts-of-Fire by singing, acting, playing the djimbe and spurring indivuals on to live a life of worship.

Gwen Pizarro

New York, NY

Gwen joined Hearts-of-Fire in 2009, after spending 8 years of active duty service in the US Navy. Her passions include helping people in need, getting deeper in the Word and growing in her relationship with God through prayer. She finds great joy in serving and teaching financial literacy to families from low income neighborhoods. Jared Turkin

Yonkers, NY

Jared gradually joined Heart-of-Fire over 5 years ago not knowing exactly why. But he explains that over time he developed a great sense of purpose and community within this group.

"Hearts of Fire started as just a group where I drum. But it became so much more. I can use my God-given gifts of acting and drumming and develop them in God." Jared uses his passion of acting and drumming add a creative element to outreach. 

Jube & Alecia Charles

Brooklyn, NY

Jube and Alecia were recently married in May of 2014. Jube has been a member of HOF since its inception and has participated in both local and international missions with the group. He passionately serves in ministry through spoken word poetry and creative writing. Jube has established not only ministerial partnerships but deep brotherhood and camaraderie with his fellow Hearts-of-Fire members. In many ways, Hearts-of-Fire has become a surrogate family to him. Alecia became a part of HOF during courtship with Jube, and it was the spiritual stability and leadership of the group that caught her interest.  Alecia has a passion for serving others and helping people to realize their full potential in Christ, and saw HOF as an outlet to live out that purpose.  During the summer of 2013, Jube and Alecia traveled with Hearts-of-Fire on a mission trip to Ghana, West Africa. Besides it being Alecia’s first missionary work with Hearts of Fire, what also made the time in Ghana special was that Jube proposed to Alecia on the last day of the trip. The engagement in Ghana laid a firm foundation for the ministry work that God will do through them both.  Jube and Alecia are excited to see what God will do through Hearts-of-Fire and are ecstatic to be a part of the ministry.

Stephanie Rosario

Brooklyn, NY

Stephanie's passions are writing, singing, and tuning into God. She has a deep love for reading, especially the Word of God. She joined Hearts-of-Fire because she believes God led her to join in order to use her where ever He sees fit. 

Monique Armstrong

Bronx, NY

Monique has been a core member of Hearts-of-Fire since it’s early stages.  She joined Hearts-of- Fire at the age of sixteen. She recalls that at that time she had no idea what God had planned for her life or what her role would be in this group. Currently Monique is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a concentration in child and adolescent  development. Her life and career goals are geared towards helping people.  Monique states, “I now believe that God has personally placed Hearts-of-Fire in my life to bridge my humanitarian heart with my spiritual gifts. Hearts-of-Fire has also helped to shape me into the God-fearing woman I am today."
